Alastair Greene  Popular
Alastair Greene is a guitarist-singer-songwriter based out of Santa Barbara who plays blues-rock much in the same vein as Gov't Mule, Dickey Betts, Jimi Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Allman Brothers Band, etc. A prolific young guitarist with an old-soul/old-school musical mentality, Greene has opened shows for, among others, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, Robin Trower and Lonnie Brooks. “Greene is a wonderful blues/rock player,” wrote VINTAGE GUITAR magazine in a review of Greene’s superb 2002 release, A LITTLE WISER. “It’s the kind of playing that we 40-somethings grew up with, but doesn’t seem to exist amongst the younger crowd.”
